SimpleRunning Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SimpleRunning is a mobile application developed by Menyhart Development / MENYHART SZABOLCS PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA, based in Romania.

2. Information we collect

SimpleRunning does not require user registration or login. The app does not currently use advertising, Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar analytics or crash reporting services.

The app may process activity data that you create while tracking a run or cycling activity, such as distance, duration, route points, speed, pace, workout history, and related statistics.

3. Location data

SimpleRunning uses GPS location data to record running and cycling routes, calculate distance, speed, pace, and display the route on a map.

The app may request foreground and background location access so it can continue recording an activity while the screen is locked or while the app is running in the background.

Location data is used only to provide the core activity tracking features of the app.

4. Local storage

Saved runs, cycling activities, route data, workout history, and statistics are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user account system for SimpleRunning, and we do not store your saved activities on our own server.

Locally saved data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app data, or uninstall the app.

5. Background location

If you allow background location access, SimpleRunning can continue recording your activity while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. Third-party map services

SimpleRunning uses a third-party map service to display maps inside the app. When maps are loaded, the map provider may receive technical information necessary to deliver map tiles, such as network request information.

Your saved workout history is not sold by SimpleRunning and is not uploaded to our own server.

7. Data sharing

SimpleRunning does not sell user data.

SimpleRunning does not share your saved running or cycling history with third parties. Map-related network requests may be processed by the map provider only as needed to display maps in the app.

8. Data retention

Locally saved app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Because the app does not use a user account system, we do not provide server-side account deletion.

9. Children's privacy

SimpleRunning is not specifically directed to children and is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is intended for general fitness and activity tracking.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
