PlantyCare Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PlantyCare is a mobile application developed by Menyhart Development / MENYHART SZABOLCS PERSOANA FIZICA AUTORIZATA, based in Romania.

2. Information we collect

PlantyCare does not require user registration or login. The app does not currently use advertising, Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Crashlytics, or similar analytics or crash reporting services.

The app may process plant photos that you choose to provide for plant recognition. Saved plants and care information are stored locally on your device.

3. Plant recognition and third-party APIs

PlantyCare uses the PlantNet API to help identify plants from photos that you provide. When you use plant recognition, the photo you select may be sent to PlantNet for processing.

PlantyCare also uses the Perenual API to provide plant care information. Requests to these services may involve technical information needed to process the request, such as network request data.

4. Local storage

Saved plants, plant care data, and reminder-related information are stored locally on your phone. We do not operate a user account system for PlantyCare, and we do not store your saved plants on our own server.

5. Notifications

PlantyCare may send plant care notifications and reminders if you enable them. You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

6. Location data

PlantyCare does not use GPS or device location tracking.

7. Data sharing

PlantyCare does not sell user data.

Plant photos may be shared with the PlantNet API only when you use the plant recognition feature.

Plant care requests may be sent to the Perenual API only to retrieve plant care information.

8. Data retention

Locally saved app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Photos sent to third-party APIs are handled according to those providers' policies.

9. Children's privacy

PlantyCare is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
